It looks like that Samsung won’t be unveiling only the Galaxy Note 8 at its Unpacked event in New York on August 23. They will be unveiling their new fitness smartband too. The well-known leaker Evan Blass has obtained information to suggest that the South Korean tech giant will be unveiling a new Gear Fit 2 Pro fitness tracker too. It is the latest version of its current smartband, the Samsung Gear Fit 2.

The Tizen-powered Gear Fit 2 Pro will have many of the same functions as its current version, but will also include some latest features such as water resistance up to 165 feet. Unlike its current version, it can sync to the Speedo On app, which lets you swim with it and track lap times. It’ll have GPS functionality and a music playback option that allows Spotify tracks to be played offline.

The Gear Fit 2 Pro will be compatible with iOS and Android phones and comes with a premium subscription to Under Armour’s digital fitness platform. The clasp has also been updated to a more functional watch style from the Gear Fit 2’s snap closure. For now, there are no details on when the Gear Fit 2 Pro will be released or how much it will cost. In addition to this new smart band and the Galaxy Note 8, we are expecting to see a new Gear VR headset, Samsung Gear Sport, Samsung Gear S4 or the mysterious hybrid wearable at Samsung’s event next week.
